The year 2009 has certainly ushered in major global change. Some of which may be considered good, some bad it all depends on ones perspective but the quest for personal freedom, a life that feels good will always be the same.
Now That Freedom Rings
The centuries of slavery's chains broken by an inauguration,
Restoration of the elite mentality surely will follow,
We who believe in freedom can never rest until the global climate sees no color,
sees no spiritual divide, no difference between him and her, no difference between you and me.
Brothers Gandhi and King have paved the way for debased souls to experience new possibilities,
Captivity may hold the body but understanding love frees the soul,
Look past your differences and hear the bells of freedom ring.
Now that freedom rings, shout:
I am free to be, the me my mind eye sees
I am free to dream, no more hand-me-down dreams
I am free to make my own direction, on paths that soothe my soul
I am free to assign my own beliefs, which create my world without
I am free to exist in a world that knows my value, with others who have no doubt
Freedom rings for each willing to pluck it from the mind field
Rings for each willing to tuck it into the energy of their beliefs
Freedom rings for each willing to remember their natural birthright
Rings for each willing to make the effort to awake
All paths lead to the present, to this point in time where tears of joy fall for a brown man.
Telling us, teaching us all, that the antidote called Freedom lies within the poison itself.
